Contractor teachers can be occasional, their dedication is full-time or part-time, and they are temporarily required for working on a period less than one (1) year long. On chair hours, these teachers must teach one (1) or more courses per academic period (Maximum 20 hours per week).

Every six months, there is a public call to update the Data Bank of Eligible Contractor Professors. This way, Univalle incorporates into the bank all the professors who pass the requirements evaluation process, being eligible for immediate or future engagement according to the particular needs of the Academic Units.
