Universidad del Valle has a staff of 1,115 appointed teachers, of which more than 40% hold a doctoral degree. Likewise, around 1,300 contract teachers work at the University to support the educational mission. All of them are professionals of the highest academic and personal quality, committed to the integral formation of students.

Teaching Staff Positions Modification

The Superior Council delegated to the Chancellor's office the modifications of the Public Teaching Employees Position Staff not to affect the number of equivalent full-time positions that make it up. If any Faculty / Institute, upon recommendation of the Academic Unit(s), involved, request(s) the unification of part-time positions into full-time positions, the division of full-time quotas into part-time quotas, or the transfer of quotas between Faculties / Institutes,  this partial modification of the teaching staff may be authorized through Chancellors' Resolution.

Dedication change

The teacher, faculty, or Academic Institute to which the teacher is attached may, at any time and with prior agreement between the parties, request the change of dedication from part-time to full-time or from full-time to part-time, according to the needs, institutional academics, budgetary availability, and University regulations.
