Professional internships are formalized through agreements signed with public or private companies and can be given in the following modalities:
Internship
It corresponds to a training practice instituted by the Academic Program as a prerequisite for obtaining the professional degree, which constitutes one more subject within the career in question. The internship requires an agreement between the University and the corresponding company, and this must include the clauses that will govern it, within which the obligations of each party must be expressly stipulated. There is no legal obligation for the company to make any kind of payment to the student.
Apprenticeship Contract
These are the training practices of students who carry out activities 24 hours a week in the sponsoring company and, at the same time, comply with the development of the curriculum of their academic program, whether or not this practice is a prerequisite for obtaining the professional degree. They are a special form of bonding within Labor Law, without subordination and for a period not exceeding 2 years, in which the sponsoring company grants monthly support to the student (apprentice) equivalent to a Minimum Legal Monthly Wage in Force, and must affiliate him to EPS and ARP.

Health Care Practice
It is the planned and organized pedagogical strategy that seeks to integrate academic training with the provision of health services, with the purpose of strengthening and generating competencies, capacities and new knowledge in students and teachers of the programs of the Faculty of Health, in a framework that promotes the quality of care and autonomous professional practice. responsible and ethical profession. These practices are formalized through Teaching-Service Agreements between Universidad del Valle and other organizations, with the purpose of training human talent in health or between educational institutions when at least one of them has health practice scenarios.
